Description
Bimanual irrigation/aspiration is a safe method for removing lenticular masses from the eye, suitable even in complex cases. Its closed system prevents posterior capsule oscillation, thereby reducing the risk of vitreous body prolapse.
Bimanual irrigation aspiration can be helpful to access the ees of the cortex, keep the anterior chamber maintained, and allow separation of the inflow and outflow in cases where the posterior capsule is open. This brief video shows how we use two different set-ups for bimanual I/A during a complicated case.
